Inflation-Busters: 2019 Tuition Rate Frozen Through July 1


PARAMUS, N.J. – The COVID-19 pandemic’s impact on personal finances has prompted Bergen Community College to deploy numerous strategies at making education more affordable. Among them, the College leveraged nearly $5 million of federal pandemic relief funds to satisfy the outstanding balances of students with past-due tuition bills.

Northern NJ Community Foundation Awards Grant to CancerCare for Healing Hearts Family Bereavement Camp


(Hackensack, New Jersey; May 23, 2022) -- The Northern New Jersey Community Foundation's (NNJCF) The DeAnna Stark Pasciuto Memorial Fund continued its support of organizations providing services to help children dealing with the loss of a loved one from cancer.  The NNJCF awarded a grant of $3,000 to CancerCare of Paramus to be used for the Healing Hearts Family Bereavement Camp in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania.

Ridgewood Boy Scout Troop 7 Recognizes 3 Eagle Scouts


RIDGEWOOD—Troop 7 Ridgewood will recognize three Boy Scouts that have achieved the prestigious rank of Eagle — Zack Boesch, Nick Galis and Kalyan Patel — on Saturday, June 11 at 2:00 pm at Upper Ridgewood Community Church. Eagle is the highest rank awarded by the Boy Scouts of America. Nationwide, over the last decade, about 8 percent of all Boy Scouts earned the Eagle rank.

Commencement Comeback: Live Ceremony Returns


EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Caps were tossed. Graduates walked across the stage. Surprise scholarships were awarded. After two years confined to a digital screen, Bergen Community College commencement came back, live and in-person. Valedictorian Katie Conte, of Ringwood, addressed her peers as the top student in the class of 2022.
