Celebrate the New Year at the Winter Games Night With The Community Chest of Eastern Bergen County.


Educator Joe Armental to be Honored.
(Eastern Bergen County, New Jersey; January 3, 2024) -- Join The Community Chest of Eastern Bergen County for an evening of fun at the Winter Games Night on Thursday, January 25, 2024.  This festive winter event will be held at the Englewood Field Club, located at 341 Engle Street in Englewood, New Jersey, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

The event features games with fun, life-sized versions of Connect Four and Jenga, as well as a putting green and corn hole, among others.  An international menu highlighting a range of food from diverse cultures and wine and beer will be available.  A wine pull and a silent auction will also take place.

Supporting Area Youth

            The evening's activities raise funds to support local youth programs for youngsters in eastern Bergen County, New Jersey.  Educator Joe Armental, a champion for youth in the community, will be honored.  "We selected Joe Armental as The Community Chest of Eastern Bergen County's honoree for his outstanding contributions as an educator and student advocate at Dwight Morrow High School and the Academies at Englewood," said Executive Director Dr. Shelly Wimpfheimer.

Tickets

            Admission to the Winter Games is $100 per ticket.  Each ticket purchase includes a selection of cuisines, including Neapolitan, Cuban, Caribbean Asian, Lebanese, French, Italian, and Spanish.  To date, area establishments providing the food include Aumm Aumm Pizzeria and Wine Bar in Englewood, Axia Taverna in Tenafly, Chef Dion-Volunteer Culinary Arts Professor, Celemente Bakery in South Hackensack, CZEN in Englewood, Fantastic Foods and Flavors in Norwood, Giovanni’s Bicycle Club in Englewood Cliffs, The Grand Cubano in Englewood, Lulu Mediterranean Grill in Englewood and WG Catering in Englewood.

About The Community Chest

            Founded in 1933, The Community Chest, a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization, has supported local not-for-profit agencies for over 90 years.  The Chest leads initiatives and supports nonprofits that make our communities stronger and benefit people in need in eastern Bergen County.  Each year, The Chest raises funds and allocates them to agencies demonstrating the capacity to provide services to local citizens.  The organization also provides coordinating and planning services in its communities, serving as a bridge between agencies and organizations and investing in the stability and quality of the service network.
