The Valley Hospital Earns Eleventh Cardiovascular Imaging Quality Award

RIDGEWOOD, NJ, January 9, 2024 – The Valley Hospital’s advanced cardiovascular imaging team has been awarded the HeartFlow? CT Quality Award for the 11th quarter in a row. Valley earned this award for the third quarter of 2023.

The Valley Hospital is cited by HeartFlow as both a regional and national leader, placing among the top 2% in the northeast region and top 5% nationally, based on HeartFlow’s 2023 data.

“We are honored to receive our 11th consecutive CT Quality Award from HeartFlow. This recurring recognition highlights our program’s commitment to quality, excellence, and high reliability,” said Himanshu Gupta, MD, Director of Cardiac Imaging.

Valley’s cardiovascular imaging program plays a crucial role in helping patients and their doctor understand their imaging tests, the results, and the implications for treatment. The team collaborates with other heart subspecialists in cardiology, electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, structural heart care, and heart surgery.

HeartFlow Analysis is a noninvasive heart test that provides a personalized 3D model of a patient’s coronary arteries obtained from coronary CT, highlighting how each blockage impacts blood flow to the heart. This detailed information helps the patient’s clinical team determine the next step in their treatment plan. Treatment options could include coronary stenting, coronary artery bypass surgery, or medications.

“HeartFlow Analysis provides essential information that can help us determine the right approach for a patient’s treatment using a convenient, noninvasive platform. This is state-of-the-art technology for our patients, and I am proud of our program’s optimal use of this tool,” continued Dr. Gupta.

“We are proud of our team for providing advanced cardiac imaging to our patients,” said Kristien Zingone, Director of Diagnostic Imaging for The Valley Hospital.
