At the 332-acre Lake Rickabear Camp, girls can enjoy a beautiful 40-acre, spring-fed lake lined by a long stretch of soft, sandy beaches perfect for swimming, pedal boating, paddle boarding, and row boating. Girls have access to a variety of exciting activities and adventures at the camp including an archery range, low ropes challenge course, zip line, equestrian center, swimming area, pickleball courts, basketball, a junior scooter track, gaga pit, beach volleyball, and more. Lake Rickabear Camp also features a spacious pavilion, campfire amphitheater, and lakeside picnic grove providing lots of opportunities for outdoor fun.

In addition, the camp has an archery range, a large swimming pool and an onsite equestrian center. The fun is never-ending with a playing field, gaga pit, and 9 square in the air. The camp also features a large troop house and spacious pavilion, allowing the fun to continue no matter the weather.

“At Girl Scout camp, girls have fun acquiring new skills in a safe and supportive all-girl environment. From a relaxed swim to exciting outdoor adventures and activities, Girl Scout camps offer girls a variety of opportunities to learn, grow, and build courage, confidence, and character,” said Sandra A. Kenoff, President/CEO, GSNNJ. “With the outdoors representing one of the four pillars of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, our camps provide girls with an environment where they feel comfortable acquiring new skills, exploring nature, and building confidence by trying new things with the support of a sisterhood of fellow campers and strong female role models.”

Registration for the 2024 camp season is open now, offering a unique experience for all girls. Girls are not required to be a member of Girl Scouts to attend these camps, while current Girl Scouts can continue to earn badges through the camp program in horsemanship, camping, leadership, and more. All girls are welcome. They will make new friends, try new things, and learn leadership skills that will last a lifetime. Financial assistance is available.
