ABOUT THE BOOK

The Leagal Eagles: In The Case of The Food Fight

Have you ever wondered what happens when middle school children challenge school officials in search of JUSTICE? With some hard work, determination, and a little luck they could fight INJUSTICE and WIN! Authors Claevens Estriplet and Ruthnie Semelfort have created a book series entitled “The Leagal Eagles,” which introduces young readers to the legal system using real-life situations and scenarios children can encounter at school. The trials and tribulations that school-age children face when they have been accused, convicted, or punished for violating school rules and regulations are put on display. The focus is to develop and enhance knowledge of the rule of law, court procedures, and the legal system by breaking down each component and portraying them on a children’s level.

The first book in this series is about Wesley Johnson, a 6th grader at Fish Creek Middle School who is in serious trouble. The Taco Tuesday incident has been labeled as the WORST food fight in the school’s history and he is alleged to have started it. Every kid at the school is pointing the finger at him, the school’s administration is convinced that he is the cause, and all the evidence seems to support the allegations.

The crooked Principal Devlin believes in strict law and order and runs the school with an iron fist.  She is determined to make an example out of Wesley and impose the harshest punishment possible for his alleged role in the chaos. Knowing that he cannot take on the school’s most powerful figure alone, Wesley decides to solicit the help of the law firm called “The Leagal Eagles” to prove his innocence.

The Leagal Eagles law firm made up of 8th graders Preston Lea, Mia Rae, Collin Maxwell, and their A.I. robot J.E.F.F.R.E.E. are the only hope Wesley has to stop Principal Devlin’s plans that have him facing school manual hard labor, detention, suspension, or even worst EXPULSION!

Follow this new-age law firm as they work to foil Principal Devlin’s plans, help prove Wesley’s innocence, and bring justice back to their beloved middle school.

Whenever INJUSTICE takes flight, THE LEAGAL EAGLES take FIGHT!
