A former marine, Mr. Miller comes to Paramus with over 23 years of education experience, most recently serving for the past six years as the Principal of Roxbury High School. Prior to that, Mr. Miller spent four years as a middle school principal and three years as a high school assistant principal in Roxbury. He began his career in education as a social studies teacher at both the middle school and high school levels, and coached a variety of sports, including basketball, field hockey, lacrosse, baseball, and football.

Throughout his career, Mr. Miller has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to student success, teacher professional development, and community engagement. As a school leader, he has been recognized for his innovative approach to education, his commitment to student success, and his ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive school environment.

Under his leadership, Roxbury High School implemented several successful programs, including a Sports Medicine Academy and a Structural Design and Fabrication vocational skills class, and was selected as a New Jersey State School of Character. He also created and implemented Principal’s Academies to support professional development and teacher learning opportunities, and established multiple ways to communicate with families and stakeholders regarding pertinent school and district events.

“We are extremely excited to welcome Mr. Miller to Paramus High School and our larger school community,” said Sean Adams, Superintendent of Schools for the Paramus School District. “His commitment to student achievement and well-being, innovative mindset, and collaborative approach to leadership make him an ideal fit for our community.”

When asked what drew him to Paramus, Mr. Miller shared that, “Paramus is well-known for its great schools and supportive community. I truly value how the district’s core values focus on the whole child and promote student growth and success at an individual level, and I am eager to get to know all of our students and celebrate their successes. It’s clearly evident that the faculty and support staff genuinely care about their students and the larger school community as a whole. As I continue my career as an educational leader, I’m excited to partner with all our school’s stakeholders in continuing to achieve great things together at Paramus High School.”

Meet-and-greet events will be scheduled and announced soon, during which members of the school community will be invited to meet with and welcome Mr. Miller to Paramus High School.
