Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County Announces the Race to Build 5K Community Run/Walk to Raise Funds for Affordable Housing
Ridgefield Park, NJ — Monday August 25th, 2025 – Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County is thrilled to announce the Race to Build 5K and One-Mile Walk, taking place on Sunday, October 19, 2025. This exciting community event invites runners, walkers, families, and supporters of all ages to come together in support of Habitat Bergen’s mission to build safe, affordable homes for local families in need.
The Race to Build 5K will take place in Overpeck Park, Ridgefield Park NJ, offering participants a scenic and energizing course. In addition to the 5K run, the event includes a family-friendly one-mile walk, ensuring everyone—regardless of age or fitness level—can take part. The event will take place on a USATF certified course and is a Paul Miller Grand Prix series event worth 500 points.
