Women's Rights Information Center Secures Major Grants to Expand Support Services

Englewood, NJ – Women’s Rights Information Center (WRIC) is proud to announce the receipt of several transformative grants that will expand critical services and support for individuals and families throughout Bergen County.

U.S. Department of Justice, Office for Violence against Women: $263,992 to provide flexible financial assistance to individuals and families impacted by violence, helping them achieve safety, stability, and healing.

U.S. Department of Labor, Community Project Funding: $461,000 to support workforce development, job readiness training, and economic empowerment services for individuals and families in Bergen County.

U.S Department of Justice, Community Project Funding: $465,000 to provide evidence-informed trauma amelioration therapy to victims of crime, helping individuals process trauma and rebuild emotional well-being.

Lydia Collins Deforest Charitable Trust: $25,000 to provide wraparound services supporting individual stability and self-sufficiency.

Columbia Bank Foundation: $10,000 to provide housing assistance to support individuals and families experiencing instability.

Executive Director, Lil Corcoran, expressed gratitude for the generous support, stating: “These grants will make a meaningful difference for individuals and families in Bergen County. At a time when more people are turning to us for help, we’re grateful for the opportunity to provide support to those who need it.”
