NJRC to Host Monmouth County H.R. 1 Informational Roundtable on SNAP, Medicaid, and Community Services

LINCROFT, N.J. — The New Jersey Reentry Corporation (NJRC), in partnership with the Monmouth County Workforce Development Board, will host a Monmouth County H.R. 1 Informational Roundtable on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Brookdale Community College’s Warner Student Life Center, 765 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft, New Jersey.

The roundtable will bring together county government, healthcare providers, workforce leaders, social service professionals, legal advocates, and community partners to discuss the impact of H.R. 1 on SNAP, Medicaid, and community services and help residents and service providers prepare for changes to eligibility, community-engagement requirements, exemptions, documentation, and verification.

The program will feature three panel discussions examining what counts toward the 80-hour community-engagement requirement and how county processes will work; the potential impact of coverage loss on Monmouth County’s healthcare and community-service systems; and exemptions, clinical and treatment documentation, verification, and compliance. The discussions will focus on practical steps healthcare, workforce, social service, and community organizations can take to help eligible residents navigate the new requirements and avoid preventable disruptions in benefits.

Featured participants include

Monmouth County Commissioner Susan Kiley;

Sarah Lechner, SVP and Chief of External Affairs at Hackensack Meridian Health

Annamarie Cutroneo, Vice President of Operations at Jersey Shore University Medical Center

Sarina Brady, Chief Executive Officer of Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey Community Health Center

Suzy Dyer, Esq., Executive Director of Parker Family Health Center

Yolanda Taylor, Executive Director of the Monmouth County Division of Workforce Development; representatives from the Monmouth County Division of Social Services; and NJRC leadership.

“H.R. 1 represents a significant change in how residents will navigate Medicaid and SNAP,” said Jim McGreevey, Executive Director of NJRC. “Our responsibility is to make sure residents understand what is required, what exemptions may apply, what documentation they need, and where they can turn for assistance. Bringing healthcare, county government, workforce development, and community partners together allows us to prepare before individuals experience an unnecessary loss of benefits.”

The roundtable will conclude with questions, next steps, and a discussion of how Monmouth County partners can continue coordinating as implementation moves forward.
