Wegmans’ Stores Kick Off Companywide Check Out Hunger Scan Campaign Fall 2025


Wegmans’ companywide Check Out Hunger scan campaign runs from October 22 through November 29.
Customers can donate $1, $2, $3, $5, or any amount at checkout.
100% of the proceeds go to each store’s local Feeding America food bank.
More than 47 million people in the United States face hunger. This campaign raises critical funds for local food banks who help food-insecure families to fill in the gaps.

Valley’s Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Team Introduces Platelet-Rich Plasma Injections to Relieve Pain and Promote Healing


PARAMUS, NJ, October 22, 2025 – Valley Medical Group is expanding its regenerative medicine capabilities by launching the use of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections to relieve pain and promote healing. These injections are being used by Valley Medical Group’s Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) team to treat adults with sports injuries, including rotator cuff tears, golfer’s elbow, and tennis elbow, as well as other joint pain and osteoarthritis.

New Students Plan Next Steps at Bergen Open House

Bergen County Presents $119,571 Open Space Trust Fund Check to Borough of Closter for Ruckman Park Upgrades


HACKENSACK – Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco and the Bergen County Board of County Commissioners, alongside Acting Bergen County Parks Director Craig Dorsett, proudly presented a $119,571 check to the Borough of Closter for improvements to Ruckman Park. Faculty Pair Honored for Excellence


PARAMUS, N.J. – Bergen Community College professors Leigh Jonaitis, Ph.D., and Coleen Kennedy, Ph.D., have each received the 2025 National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) Excellence Award for their commitment to teaching and student success. The pair travelled to NISOD’s annual International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence in Austin, Texas this summer to receive their awards.
