Weehawken, NJ (January 29, 2025) –Yesterday, New York Waterway christened the newest addition to its fleet, Jackie Robinson, in a traditional champagne bottle-breaking ceremony at its Port Imperial Terminal in Weehawken, New Jersey. The 500-seat Jackie Robinson is named in honor of the Brooklyn Dodger legend and civil rights icon who is one of the most important and admired figures in our nation’s history. Service will begin on what would have been Mr. Robinson’s 105th birthday, on January 31st.

PARAMUS, N.J. – With certification exam outcomes exceeding the statewide average, Bergen Community College paramedic science program students have secured the National Conference on EMS “Director’s Award” for the institution. More than 99 percent of Bergen paramedic science students pass their certification and licensing exams compared with 96.7 percent of students across the state.
