(October 2, 2024) – October is recognized as Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Center for Hope & Safety (CHS), formerly Shelter our Sisters, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping adults and children in Bergen County rebuild their lives beyond domestic violence, is hosting several events throughout the month to raise awareness of domestic violence in Bergen County and proceeds from the annual “Walk Together to Fight Domestic Violence” event will fund essential support services to assist adults and children who are victims of domestic violence rebuild their lives.

(RUTHERFORD, N.J.) – County Executive Jim Tedesco and members of the Board of Commissioners recently presented a ceremonial check for $146,685 from the Bergen County Open Space Trust Fund (OSTF) to Rutherford Mayor Frank Nunziato and members of the Borough Council. The funding will support the Memorial Park Diamond 4 Improvement Project.
Paramus NJ – This summer, Paterson and Passaic teens participated in a Career Exploration Exhibition event at The Valley Hospital located in Paramus, New Jersey, where they learned about different career paths in healthcare and a hospital setting. The event was created via a partnership between the Boys & Girls Club of Paterson and Passaic (BGCPP) and Valley Health System.
