HACKENSACK, NJ – On Wednesday, August 14, the County of Bergen held its Annual Korean Independence Day Celebration and Flag Raising Ceremony, in partnership with the Asian Women Christian Association, the Korean American Association of New Jersey, the Korean Community Center, the Korean American Veterans Association of New Jersey, Korean Community Services of Metropolitan New York, the Korean American Law Enforcement Council, and the Korean American Senior Citizen’s Association.

Northern New Jersey Community Foundation's Montclair State University-PSEG Institute for Sustainability Studies Team Builds Green Infrastructure Plan for City of Hackensack


(Hackensack, New Jersey; August 9, 2024) – The Northern New Jersey Community Foundation (NNJCF) partnered with Montclair State University’s PSEG Institute for Sustainability Studies (ISS) on a project to enhance the natural environment in the City of Hackensack. The NNJCF provided five students from a range of colleges and majors, who participated in the Institute’s transdisciplinary Green Teams program, to develop a green infrastructure plan for Hackensack.
